IKO and Mijama join hands to better service the Danish Roofers

New partnership

IKO is among the world’s largest manufacturers of complete roofing and insulation systems, founded in Canada in 1951, today with over 30 factories and 4,500 employees worldwide. In Denmark, IKO’s bituminous roofing membranes have been laid on flat and pitched roofs for more than 35 years and has thus been thoroughly tested both by roofers and the Danish climate.

Mijama was founded in 2011, but is already established as the leading independent total supplier to the professional roofing industry in Denmark. With strongly growing sales to roofers, contractors and house builders, and with warehouses in Greve, Vejle and Aalborg, Mijama covers both the industry and the entire country.

In this way, the partnership of Mijama and IKO was logical. We match each other well, also with IKO’s slogan “IKO Pushing Limits” in mind.

Prioritize the Danish market

With the new collaboration, IKO has decided to prioritize the Danish market. To support this, tests of IKO’s roofing membranes have been carried out at DBI, i.a. with IKO’s PIR insulation, with great results.

In order to further strengthen the sales of IKO’s roofing membranes, PIR insulation and liquid waterproofing products, IKO has chosen to adapt the roofing membranes according to suggestions and wishes of the Danish roofers.
